Ron and Shirley Poneleit, 3626 38th St., Unit 5, Rock Island, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to the New England states.
Shirley McGarvie and Mr. Poneleit were married Aug. 7, 1954, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Collinsville, Ill.
Their children are Debbie Cervantes and Ron Jr., both of Davenport.
They have three grandchildren, Celia, Chelsea and Katie Cervantes.
Mr. Poneleit retired in 1992 from John Deere, Milan.
Mrs. Poneleit is a homemaker.
They are members of Hope United Church of Christ, Moline.
