Gene and Nancy Richey anniversary
Gene and Nancy Richey, Moline, will be honored Aug. 16, 2004 at a family dinner in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Their children are planning an all day trip on the Mississippi this summer.
The former Nancy Houzenga, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mr. Richey, Manassas, Va., were married Aug. 16, 1954, in a parsonage in Silver City, N.M.
Their children and spouses are Laurie Richey, Moline; Becky and Gary Vinar, Moline; and Randy and Debbie Richey, Westmont, Ill.
Their grandchildren are Billy Richey, 16, and Jaimie Richey, 14.
Mr. Richey was employed by Windsor Park Manor, Carol Stream, Ill., retiring in 1995 after five years as director of engineering.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and met Nancy at the U.S.O. in Phoenix.
Mrs. Richey was employed in surgical sterile processing and supplies at Edward Hospital, Naperville, Ill., retiring in 1988 after three years.
