George and Vera Freeland Anniversary
George and Vera Freeland, 305 4th Ave., Colona, will be honored Aug. 7, 2004 at a reception to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 1 to 3 p.m. at Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, Colona, where the couple hold membership.
The former Vera Mosher, Martensville, Ill., and Mr. Freeland, Yale, Ill., were married July 8, 1954 in Henderson, Ky.
Their children are: Charles Freeland, Milan; Sharon White, Lamar, Colo.; Dr. George Freeland, Sparta, Mich.; and Rose Mohler, Grand Junction, Colo. There are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Freeland was employed by the Rock Island Line, Silvis, and as a carrier for the Colona Post Office., retiring in 1994, after 22 years.
Mrs. Freeland was employed for 10 years as an aide with the Henry County Health Department.
