Richard and Marie Liljeberg, 2032-11th St., Moline, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on July 10, 2004 at the Captain's Table.
On July 11 they held an open house at the Quad City Botanical Center with family and friends.
The former Marie Carlson and Mr. Liljeberg were married July 10, 1954, at the First Covenant Church, Moline.
They hold membership at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline.
Their children and spouses are Cindy and Larry Maxwell, Wichita, Kan.; Chris and Steve Sargent, Dallas, Texas; Dan and Linda Liljeberg, Wrentham, Mass; and Gretta and Jim Wells, Moline. Their grandchildren are Noah, Britta and Nathan Maxwell, Wichita; Callie, Jenna and Logan Liljeberg, Wrentham; and Ellen and Allison Wells, Moline.
Richard was employed at the Dispatch, Moline, for 30 years, retiring in 1997.
Marie was employed for 15 years at the former Moline National Bank, retiring in 1987.
