Alfred and Margaret Noakes Anniversary
The Rev. Alfred and Margaret ``Peg'' Noakes, Moline, will be honored at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. June 5, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church, East Moline, in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The former Margaret Phelps, Monmouth, and Mr. Noakes, Takoma Park, Md., were married June 3, 1954, in Ninth Avenue United Presbyterian Church, Monmouth.
Their children and spouses are Dave and Lisa Noakes, Des Moines, Paul and Jennifer Noakes, East Moline, Howard and Mary Noakes, Silvis, and Ruth and Randy Pardon, Talladega, Ala.
There are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Noakes was a Presbyterian minister retiring after 44 years.
Mrs. Noakes was employed in the teaching field throughout the years.
The couple belong to First Presbyterian, East Moline.
