Joe and Mary Rizzolo Anniversary
Joe and Mary Rizzolo, Coal Valley, will be honored at an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. June 6, 2004 at St. Patrick's Church hall, Colona, in observance of their 40th wedding anniversary.
In lieu of gifts consider bringing a food donation for the Colona food pantry.
The former Mary Van Houtte, Coal Valley, and Mr. Rizzolo, Moline, were married June 6, 1964, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona.
Their children are Rosemary Rizzolo, Minier, Ill., and Carol (David) Simpson, Davenport.
Their grandchildren are Brianna, Ellie and Alec.
Mr. Rizzolo was employed for 20 years as an auditor for the Department of Aging for the State of Illinois.
He also worked for five years for John Deere Harvester.
Mrs. Rizzolo was employed as a teacher/librarian for the Orion Middle School for 28 years, retiring 2001.
She also worked as a substitute at Colona School.
She also worked for 10 years in Moline at Maple Grove, Roosevelt and Horace Mann and Briar Bluff School, Henry County.
The couple belongs to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
