Their children and spouses are Keith and Hazel Butter, Moline, and Marsha and Ken Soady, Des Moines, Iowa.
Their grandchildren are Alex and Rachel Butter and Hailey Soady.
Mr. Butter worked as a letter carrier for the Moline Post Office for 40 years, retiring in 1983.
Mrs. Butter worked as a secretary for Tom McGill Homes for 20 years, retiring in 1993.
The couple hold membership at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline.
