Leonard and Katy Etzel Anniversary
Leonard and Kay Etzel, 509 15th Ave., Hampton, will be honored May 29, 2004 at a family dinner in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The former Kay Edwards and Mr. Etzel, both of Rock Island, were married May 22, 1954, in Church of Peace, Rock Island.
Their children and spouses are Kent and Lori Etzel, Barstow; Scott and Sara Etzel, West St. Paul, Minn.; Todd and Robyn Etzel, Centennial, Colo; and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Etzel, Elk Grove. A son Craig, is deceased.
There are eight grandchildren.
Mr. Etzel was employed for 38 years at John Deere Harvester, Moline, where he was a special investigator in the inspection department.
He retired in 1987.
Mrs. Etzel was employed for 25 years by Deere & Co., as a clerk-typist, retiring in 1996.
They belong to Zion Lutheran Church, East Moline.
