Lyle and Nancy Anderson Anniversary
Lyle and Nancy Anderson, 406 Bruce Ave., Milan, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 8, 2004 with a private family dinner.
The former Nancy Hickerson and Mr. Anderson, both of Milan, were married May 8, 1954, in Zion Lutheran Church, Taylor Ridge, the Rev. John L. Stuebe presiding.
They are long-time members of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Milan, where Lyle served for many years in various offices, including treasurer and elder, and Nancy with the LWML.
Their children and spouses are: Christina and James Barrows, Milan; Rev. Steven and Sara Anderson, Sugar Grove, Ill.; Matthew and Kathleen Anderson, Rock Island; Rev. David Anderson, Davenport; and Paul and Darci Anderson, Milan.
A daughter-in-law, Janel Anderson, is deceased.
There are 13 grandchildren
Mr. Anderson was president of Anderson & Mandle Grain Co., Milan, until his retirement in 1992.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and also worked at the grain company.
