Tom and Nancy Welsh Anniversary
Tom and Nancy Welsh, 903 23rd Ave., Moline, observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 28, 2003.
To celebrate the event they were honored at a family dinner in the Tournament Players Club, Deere Run.
The former Nancy Wahlgren, Moline, and Mr. Welsh, Rock Island, were married Nov. 28, 1953, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, where they hold membership.
Their sons and spouses are Mark and Sue, Rochester, Minn.; Tim and Karen, Austin, Texas; Keith, Moline; Chris and Christine, Moline; and Joe and Diane, Moline.
Grandchildren are Robert Sparkman, Christine and Megan Welsh, Sara Parker and Jordon Johnson.
There are two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Welsh was self-employed as owner of Rodts and Welsh Masonry, retiring in 1995.
He currently enjoys working part time practicing his masonry trade while working alongside his sons.
Mrs. Welsh retired in 1997 from employment with Moline School District as a special education aide.
She currently enjoys works part time at Black Hawk Area Special Education as an aide.
