Roger and Rollande Martel Anniversary
Roger and Rollande Martel, 1913 W. 3rd St., Milan, are observing their 50th wedding anniversay today.
The former Rollande Cote and Mr. Martel, both of Quebec, Canada, were married July 4, 1953, in a church in Quebec.
They are the parents of Denis, Raymond, Richard, Ronald, Luc, and Lynne. There are 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Martel retired in 1992 after 26 years employment by Iowa/Illinois Gas and Electric Co., as a contractor.
Mrs. Martel was employed for 21 years in alterations by McCabes and Deb's Bridal, retiring in 2000.
The couple belong to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan.
