Gene and Hazel Jaecques Anniversary
Gene and Hazel Jaecques, Cairo, Mo., formerly of the Erie-Hillsdale area, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.
The former Hazel Hofer and Mr. Jaecques were married May 30, 1953, in Manhattan, Kan., during his Army service.
Gene grew up in the Erie area, and Hazel grew up in the Taylor Ridge area.
They have resided on their farm near Cairo since 1961.
They have four children, nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild, all residing in Missouri.
Gene has two brothers, Richard and Robert, and one sister, Arlene Hudson, all residing in Missouri; and Hazel has one sister, Mary Price of Aledo.
