Laurence and Marian Hoffeditz Anniversary
Laurence and Marian Hoffeditz, Taylor Ridge, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 31, 2003.
The former Marian Amidon and Mr. Hoffeditz were married May 31, 1953, at the Milan Methodist Church.
The couple has resided in rural Rock Island County since then, raising five children.
Their children and spouses are Dave Hoffeditz, Lodi, Calif.; Dan and Patty Hoffeditz, Carbon Cliff; Tom Hoffeditz and Julie Guiney, Island Lake; Laurie and Jose Lao, East Moline; and Paul and Sherrie Hoffeditz, Taylor Ridge.
There are 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Mr. Hoffeditz worked for the Rock Island Argus for 33 years and retired from Bawden Printing, Eldridge, Iowa, in 1993.
Mrs. Hoffeditz worked for Dr. Robert Blew Dentistry for 20 years, retiring in 1999.
The couple is enjoying retirement.
They frequently take trips to enjoy their favorite places and scenery.
When at home they garden and spend time with their family.
