Louis and Georgia Slininger Anniversary
Louis and Georgia Slininger, Moline, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They will celebrate the event on a Caribbean cruise and later at a dinner in their honor.
The former Georgia VanHecke and Mr. Slininger were married Feb. 14, 1953, in the rectory of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline.
Their sons and spouses are Ed and Pat, Germantown Hills; David and Holly, Azle, Texas; Steve and Diana, Glendale, Ariz.; and Tom and Katy, Moline. There are six grandchildren.
Mr. Slininger was employed for 32 years by the Moline School District, retiring in 1989.
Mrs. Slininger was employed for 21 years at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1988.
The couple attends Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline.
