John and Lorene Horton Anniversary
John and Lorene Horton, 2715 4th St. A, East Moline, will be honored Oct. 19, 2002 at a reception in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at 6:30 p.m. in the Moline Garden Center, 34th St. and 4th Ave.
The former Lorene Sartor and Mr. Horton, both of Mountain Grove, Mo., were married Oct. 23, 1952, in Mountain Grove.
They are the parents of Judy Egert, Moline; John Horton, Silvis; Jack Horton, East Moline; Kathy Newkirk, Moline; Carol Emmert, Rock Island; Barb Horton, East Moline; and Mitchell George, Moline.
There are 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Horton was employed for 23 years at John Deere Plow & Planter Works, Moline, where he was an assembler.
He retired in 1988.
The couple hold membership at Northcrest Calvary Baptist Church, Moline.
