Carl and Nancy Betty Anniversary
Carl E. and Nancy J. Betty, 1406 113th Ave., Milan, will be honored Oct. 18, 2002 at a family dinner in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The dinner is being hosted by her sisters, Ruth Ehlers, Betty Paulson and Alice Rosenthal.
The former Nancy Romine and Mr. Betty, both of Rock Island, were married Oct. 18, 1952, in Milan Presbyterian Church, where they hold membership.
Their children and spouses are Carl Jr. and Joann Betty, Santa Maria, Calif.; Bruce Betty, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Susan and Kip Gaddis, Quartz Hill, Calif.; Kevin and Kelly Betty, Lompoc, Calif.; and Bret Betty, Odessa, Texas.
There are 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandson, Ethan Cole Betty.
Mr. and Mrs. Betty both retired recently from Rhythm City Casino.
They retired in 1989 from a coin and jewelry business in California and returned to the Quad-Cities in 1990.
Before working for Rhythm City, they were employed at the President Riverboat Casino in 1991.
