Don and Nelda Maroon Anniversary
Don and Nelda Maroon, 1119 52nd St. Court, Moline, will be honored Oct. 19, 2002 at an open house in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends are invited to call between 2 and 4 p.m. in Homewood Evangelical Free Church, Moline. It is requested that gifts be omitted.
The former Nelda Thompson, Moline, and Mr. Maroon, Greenville, were married Oct. 18, 1952, in the Assembly of God Church, Greenville.
Their daughters and sons-in-law are Marci and Randy McCabe, Port Byron; Karen and Jerry Boles, Henderson, Nev.; and Kathy Miller, Moline. There are five grandchildren.
Mr. Maroon was employed for 29 years by the Moline Fire Department, and was fire chief for six years. He retired in 1994.
