John and Evelyn Hartman Anniversary
John and Evelyn Hartman, 11920 9th St., Milan, will be honored June 9 at an open house in observance of their 60th wedding anniversary and Mr. Hartman's 80th birthday.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 1 to 4 p.m. at United Methodist Church, Preemption.
It is requested that gifts be omitted.
Mr. Hartman was born June 16, 1922, in Aledo.
The former Evelyn Peterson and Mr. Hartman, both of Matherville, were married June 6, 1942, in a Methodist parsonage, Kahoka, Mo.
Their children and spouses are Michael and Jane Hartman, Sherrard; Peggy and Tom Thompson, Preemption; and Cindy and Lee Wulf, Davenport.
There are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hartman retired from Ironworkers Local 111 in 1985 after 40 years of service.
Mrs. Hartman has been an Avon representative for 37 years.
The couple are of the Methodist faith.
