The Smiths were married on April 8, 1978, in St. Peter's Chapel, Mare Island, Calif., by The Rev. Allport.
Sherry Fowler was the maid of honor and Randy Fowler served as best man.
The Smiths have two children, Deidre Westall of Schererville, Ind., and Andrew Smith, residing at home with his parents.
Mr. Smith is employed at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Mrs. Smith is employed at the Cumberland Farms store on Granite Street, Westerly.
