Hirner - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hirner of Hannibal will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Holy Family Church in Hannibal.
A reception will be hosted by their children and grandchildren from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Munger Lane in Hannibal.
Evelyn Chaney and Harley Hirner were united in marriage on Nov. 3, 1951, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hannibal. The Rev. T.C. Fox officiated.
Mrs. Hirner is the daughter of the late Jesse and Estelle Chaney.
Mr. Hirner is the son of Arthur Hirner of Hannibal and the late Thelma Hoffman Hirner.
They are the parents of four children, John, Joseph, Cherrie and Jim Hirner; and have nine grandchildren.
Mr. Hirner retired after 43 years with BNSF.
Mrs. Hirner works in real estate sales.
They are active members at Holy Family Church and the Quincy Cursillo Family.
They enjoy traveling and participating in their grandchildren's activities.
Friends and relatives are invited to the reception. They request no gifts.
