Jeanne Schlitz Is Bride Of Leroy Zulick
A very pretty wedding ceremony was performed April 8, 1961 at 4:30 o'clock in Christ Lutheran Church when Jeanne Martha Schlitz, Sch. Haven RD1, became the bride of Leroy M. Zulick, 298 N. Berne St., town.
The Rev. E. Richard Acker performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Schlitz, Sch. Haven RD1 and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Zulick of town.
White gladiola and white carnations were used on the altar.
Kenneth Lord, organist, played several wedding selections among them "We" and "The Lord's Prayer".
Attendants for the bride were Patricia Warren, Patricia Zulick and Carol Beecher.
Best man was Donald Lord and the ushers were Lane Reed and Robert Zulick.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in a floor length gown of society taffeta having a basque bodice of chantilly lace.
The neckline was studded with sequins and seed pearls and the long lace sleeves ended in a taper at the wrist.
A bouffant skirt with butterfly bows on either side terminated into a chapel train.
She wore a bandeau of lace attached to a hand rolled finger tip imported illusion veil.
She carried a bouquet of white roses.
The attendant's wore ballerina length gowns of maize and mint silk organza featuring fitted bodices and portrait necklines.
Their full skirts were worn over petticoats and they completed their costumes with bolero jackets of rose-point lace.
The mother of the bride chose a pink brocade dress and wore a corsage of white carnations.
The mother of the groom wore a pink lace costume and completed her ensemble with a corsage of pink carnations.
A reception was held at the Cressona Band Hall immediately following the ceremony after which the couple left on a honeymoon.
Mrs. Zulick is a graduate of Blue Mt. High School class of 1959 and is employed at the Argo Knitting Mills, Sch. Haven.
Mr. Zulick graduated from Sch. Haven High School in 1958 and is employed by Hill Farm Dairy Inc.
The couple will go housekeeping in the Coryell Apartments Schuylkill St., Sch. Haven.
