Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Helbing Sr., of rural New London, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner hosted by their children at Fiddlestix.
Dolores A. Rosser and H. Fred Helbing were united in marriage on Nov. 22, 1951, at South Side Christian Church in Hannibal.
Mrs. Helbing is the daughter of Ann McCune of Montgomery City and the late Rodney B. Rosser.
Mr. Helbing is the son of the late Howard Helbing and the late Elsie Calvert.
They are the parents of five children, Deana Lane, Fred Helbing Jr., Tim Helbing and Ann Turner, all of New London and the late John Helbing.
They have nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Helbing is retired from Unicco at BASF, formerly Ogden Allied Maintenance at American Cyanamid.
He is a graduate of Hannibal High School.
Mrs. Helbing is a high school graduate and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia.
She is a homemaker.
Mr. and Mrs. Helbing are active members of Saverton Community Church.
