Mowdy 50th wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde (Betty McMurray) Mowdy of Kingsport will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 26, 2010.
To celebrate, their daughter, son-in-law and grandson have planned a week-long trip to Pigeon Forge.
The couple was married April 26, 1960, in Hiltons, Va., with the Rev. C.J. Flanary officiating.
They are the parents of Melinda Mowdy Sublett and her husband Andy Sublett of Kingsport.
They are the grandparents of Zachary Sublett of Kingsport.
Mr. Mowdy was employed by J.P. Stevens for 13 years and then was a self-employed contractor for 20 years before retiring.
Mrs. Mowdy retired from Ingles after 28 years.
