The bride is the daughter of Barbara A. Whitney of Frankfort, Herkimer County, and the late George P. Whitney. The bridegroom is the son and stepson of Carole and George Simon of Endwell, Broome County, and Michael and Sally Mitchko of Columbus, Ga.
The bride, a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University and Rochester Institute of Technology in Henrietta, is a cardiothoracic physician's assistant at Rochester General Hospital on Portland Avenue.
The bridegroom, a graduate of the University of Rochester and the State University of New York at Syracuse College of Medicine, is a physician of internal medicine at Canandaigua Medical Group in Canandaigua.
Pina Zingaro of Winter Hazel Court, Gates, was the maid of honor. James Struble of Apalachian, Tioga County, was the best man.
The reception was at the University Club on Broadway.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.
