Michele Cox of Quincy, Ill., and Joe Cox of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Gary and Sandy Douglas of Hannibal, have announced the engagement of their children, Erica Leanne Cox and Chad Lewis Douglas.
The prospective bride is a 1998 graduate of Quincy High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Iowa, with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications.
She is employed as assistant coordinator for In Touch PSA No. 11.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Hannibal High School.
He graduated cum laude in 1997 from Western Illinois University with a bachelor of arts degree in communication and minor in public communication and human resources.
He is an anchor/reporter for KHQA TV.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. Oct. 16, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal.
