Miss Candie Michelle Dunn and Mr. Mark Edward Reed were united in matrimony on October 2, at 7 o'clock in the evening at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land with Reverend Roy Oggero officiating. Organist Marcus St. Julien and soloists Paulette Chiasson and John Burchfield performed at the double ring ceremony. Scripture readers were Mrs. Donna Cavanaugh and Miss Meagan Dunn. The reception followed at Sweetwater Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dunn of Wharton, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joetta Dunn of Fort Stockton, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Reed of Sugar Land. He is the grandson of Mrs. Annie Labay of Nada, Texas.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The maid of honor was Jennifer Venglar, matron of honor was Millie Hlavinka, both friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sylvia Teeple, Makayla Monroe, Lisa George, and Geneva Gomez. Marrisa Hlavinka attended as the junior bridesmaid. The flower girls were Caroline, Kailey, and Kristen Cavanaugh, and Elizabeth Whitmire, nieces of the groom; and Selena Dunn, niece of the bride.
Serving as the groom's best man was his father. The groomsmen were Dave Vrana, Derek George, Preston Luster, Ron Luster, and David Rasch, all friends of the groom; and Dusty Dunn, brother of the bride. Dylan Poynter served as the ring bearer.
Candie is a graduate of Wharton High School and attended Wharton Junior College. Mark is a graduate of Strake Jesuit and Texas A&M. Candie and Mark are both employed at E. E. Reed Construction Company in Sugar Land.
Following a honeymoon to Rome and southern Italy, the couple will reside in Richmond, Texas.
