BOX - BROOKS
Miss Elizabeth Box
Weds
Mr. Robert Brooks
Elizabeth Box and Bob Brooks were united in marriage at seven o'clock in the evening of Friday, October 1st in the Forest Room at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston, Texas. Reverend Montie Lee Hyden, Jr. performed the double ring ceremony. A bagpiper, Mr. Ian Martin, provided ceremony music with the Aggie War Hymn as the recessional piece. The reception was held at the Houstonian with dancing and music provided by Yvonne Washington and The Mix.
A bridal brunch hosted by Carla Vigilante, Christine Tricoli, Marti Stanley, Wendy Wetzel, Debbie Barbosa and Paula Brett, all long time friends of the bride, was held last weekend at Brennan's. In July, an engagement party held at The House in the Heights was hosted by long time friends of the groom, Michelle and Richard Wilkes and Bonnie and Don Chalmers.
Given in marriage and escorted by her brothers, John Box and James Box, the bride selected a magnificent haute couture gown designed by Carmen Marc Valvo fashioned in a sheath silhouette. The strapless gown was created from white-on-white silk brocade fabric. The back skirt descended to an elegant simple chapel train. To compliment her ensemble, Elizabeth chose a handcrafted tiara of crystals, rhinestones and pearls. She carried a hand-tied French knotted round bouquet of Sahara crimson roses and French pink tulips.
Ms. LeeAnn Benge of Dallas served as Matron of Honor. Mr. Al Rowland of Orlando, Florida served as Best Man. Miss Heather Box, the bride's niece and Miss Corey Guillory, granddaughter of the groom were the adorable Flower Girls. A special guest from Madisonville, Texas was Mrs. Mary McVey, grandmother of the bride. Also present was the groom's sister, Mrs. Barbara Sloan of Portland, Texas.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. She is currently employed with Apogee Holdings. Bob is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He is the owner of two Houston based enterprises.
Elizabeth and Bob wish to thank their family and friends, and in particular the Rowlands and Kissmans from Florida, as well as the Rouses from England, for sharing this very special day with them. Following a honeymoon to Las Vegas, Nevada and St. Martin in the eastern Caribbean, Elizabeth and Bob, along with their precious Cavalier friends, "Louis and Winston," will reside at their Houston and Bentwater homes.
