Miss Julie Weidner Seigworth and Mr. Raymond Anthony Gambino were united in marriage on Saturday, September 18, 2004 at seven o'clock in the evening at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony and nuptial mass was officiated by Father John Cahoon. Organist, Jenny Kwon, led the ceremony music accented by trumpeter, Steve Warketin and soloist/cantor, Stephen Sloper. The Holy Scriptures were read by Mrs. Tina Silvestri, of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Jennifer Bertman Stein, of Houston Texas. Both are close friends of the bride and groom. A seated dinner reception followed at The Petroleum Club of Houston. Music for dancing was provided by Brotherhood.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Wayne Seigworth, of Summerfield, Florida. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Joseph Gambino of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The wedding festivities began the Thursday before the wedding. Mr. And Mrs. William Herdman, cousins of the groom, hosted a "Texas Style Barbecue" at their home in Katy, Texas, for the wedding party and all of the out of town guests. On the evening before the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Maggianos. A Bridesmaids Brunch was hosted, a week prior to the wedding, by the bride at the Backstreet Café.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant ivory silk gown designed by Pronovias. The fitted strapless bodice featured several layers of ruched duponi silk, which then fell into beautiful folds draped from the waist into a lovely A-line silhouette. The back of the gown was bustled with three antique brooches belonging to the bride's late Grandmother. To compliment her gown, the bride chose an exquisite triple strand fresh water pearl and Swarovski crystal choker with large Swarovski pendant. . The bride carried a lush round European hand-tied bouquet of red dahlias, red roses, red and green hydrangea and hypernicum berries. Mrs. Susan Mousel Cintron of Cuernavacca, Mexico, close friend of the Bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Terri Rogers Wolter of Dallas, Texas; Miss Deveren Elaine Harris and Mrs. Jennifer Barker Manthei, both of Houston, Texas. The bridesmaids wore tea length two piece ensembles by Lazaro in a Bordeaux silk charmeuse. All carried beautiful fall bouquets of ambiance roses, black beauty roses, claret lilies and seeded eucalyptus berries. Miss Samantha Elizabeth Seigworth, niece of the bride, served as Flowergirl.
Serving the Groom as his Best Man was the groom's eldest brother Mr. Michael Joseph Gambino, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Groomsmen included Mr. Vincent Frank Gambino of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, brother of the groom; Mr. Thomas Anthony Donatelli of Bangkok, Thailand; Mr. John Daniel Santasiero and Mr. Steven Robert Gaeta, both of Houston, Texas. Serving, as Ushers were Mr. Dan Silvestri and Mr. Joseph Andrew Perillo, both of Houston, Texas.
Ray and Julie would like to extend a special thank you to their parents, and all of their family and friends who have helped to make this day very special.
Following their honeymoon to the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Kauai, Julie and Ray will reside in Houston.
