Miss Corinne Elise Peneguy and Mr. David John Paul Finan were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, September 18, 2004, at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The nuptial mass was officiated by Reverend Monsignor Mark Deering. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception of dinner and dancing in the Grande Ballroom of The Houstonian. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a Rehearsal Dinner at the Junior League of Houston.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Peneguy Jr. of The Woodlands, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Sandoz, Mrs. Cynthia Courturier and the late Mr. Richard A. Peneguy Sr. all of New Orleans, Louisiana. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Declan Finan of County Kildare, Ireland. He is the grandson of Mrs. Mai Osborne and the late Mr. William Osborne and Mrs. Maureen Finan and the late Mr. Peter Finan all of Ireland.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a traditional gown fashioned of white Como satin designed by Amsale of New York. The gown was adorned with delicate chandelier beading at the neckline and straps. The full a-line skirt featured box pleats and a long chapel length train, complimented by a cathedral length veil accented by her mother with hand sewn beads.
The bride and groom are graduates of Baylor University. Following the honeymoon to Zihuatanejo, Mexico, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
