Miss Beth Branca and Mr. Oliver Russell Jones were united in marriage on Saturday, September 4, 2004 at half past six o'clock in the evening at Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Carole Flaherty. Harpist Nina Ruthardt provided the ceremony music. A reception followed at Four Seasons Resort with music provided by Score the Floor with a special appearance by Teen Riot. On the evening before the wedding, the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Branca's home in Jackson Hole.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Charles Branca of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Inez Branca and the late Mr. Barney Branca of Secaucus, New Jersey and Mrs. Mary Korbelak and the late Mr. Alexander Korbelak of Palm Harbor, Florida. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Benjamin Getz of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jones of Brenham, Texas and Ms. Doris Williamson and Dr. Warren Williamson of Houston, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless Alencon lace gown designed by Vera Wang. To compliment her gown, the bride chose a cascading length veil. The bride carried a lush, handtied bouquet of lilies, peonies, Japanese roses, and hydragea.
Mrs. Alicia Christine Raymond of Houston, Texas served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids included Miss Kathryn Lynn Bonner of Houston, Texas; Mrs. Allison Branson Cook of Dallas, Texas; Miss Courtney Ann Gay of Los Angeles, California; Miss Claudia Louise Getz, sister of the groom, of Houston, Texas; Miss Lindsey Baer Hicky of New York, New York; Mrs. Karen Ornsteen Johnson of Houston, Texas; and Miss Kimberly Paige Kottler, cousin of the bride, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Sheila Ann Clark, sister-in-law of the bride, of Houston, Texas served as an honorary bridesmaid.
Mr. Louis Benjamin Getz, father of the groom, of Houston, Texas served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Alexander Branca, brother of the bride, of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Mr. Bernard Branca, brother of the bride, of Houston, Texas; Mr. Stuart Lee Cochran of Dallas, Texas; Mr. Peter Benjamin Getz, brother of the groom; Mr. William Edward Graham, Jr.; Mr. Christopher Brian Lenig; and Mr. Nicholas Theodore Mousoudakis, all of Houston, Texas. Michael Joseph Branca, nephew of the bride, of Houston, Texas served as ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is currently employed in commercial tenant relations for The Bergen Company.
The groom is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He received his Masters of Business Administration from Rice University. He is currently employed as a Manager in the Global Energy Markets group at Deloitte & Touche.
After their honeymoon to Banff, Canada and Alaska, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
