Katherine McClendon Eleazer and Joseph Allen Mattingly, Jr., both of Houston, were wed May 15 at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas. The Rev. Mark Craig officiated the ceremony. A reception was held at the Northwood Club.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Connelly Eleazer of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lawson LaPrelle, Jr. of Dallas, and Mrs. Luther Holmes Eleazer of Charlotte, N.C. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Allen Mattingly of Houston.
The Maid of honor was Layne Eleazer Pitzer, sister of the bride. The Bridesmaids were Georgia Alexander, Katie Mattingly Brass, Margaret Franklin, Alicia Bennett Kimmel, Anna Mitchael, Catherine Olson, Ellen Engstrom Porter, and Kristi Stansell. The flower girls were Melia Willis and Ivy Willis. Members of the house party were Sharon Anderson, Meredith Clarke, Blake Means, Sarah Monning, and Leslie Rice. The Best man was Adam Willis Mattingly, brother of the groom. The Groomsmen were Davis Adams, Arthur J. Brass, John Denson, Brett Hetherwick, Koby Kenny, Gavin Pitzer, Frank Vilece, and Bret Zorich. Serving as Ushers were Matt Bishop, Adam Gordon, Louis Macey, and Albert Mills, Jr.
The Bride is a graduate of Highland Park High School. She earned a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is employed as a recruiting coordinator with Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. The Groom is a graduate of Stratford High School. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is employed as a consultant with Gulf Coast Asphalt Co.
Following a wedding trip to Paris, France and London, England, the newlyweds will reside in Houston.
