Miss Suzanne Marie Tett and Mr. William James Ainsworth were united in marriage on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at six-thirty in the evening at Memorial Drive Lutheran Church in Houston. The candlelight, double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. A. R. Sam Koenning. The ceremony music was performed by Miss Faith Hebard, soloist; Dr. Thomas Crow, organist; Dr. Reynaldo Ochoa, trumpeter; and a string quartet. Scripture readings were given by Mrs. Ellen Marcus Feinberg and Mrs. Jenna Setliff Pepper. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Lakeside Country Club with music provided by Dynamic Entertainment. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Petroleum Club of Houston. A bridal party luncheon, hosted by the bride's mother, was held the morning of the wedding at Carmelo's.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert F. Tett of Houston, Texas. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jordon, and Mr. and Mrs. William Ainsworth.
Given in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant strapless gown of ivory silk satin which flowed into a chapel length train. The gown featured a fitted bodice and A-line skirt, which were both trimmed with a wide border of matching white and silver beading. To compliment her gown, the bride wore a two tiered fingertip length veil accented with a satin ribbon edge. She carried a hand tied bouquet of white vandela roses interspersed with stephanotis.
Dr. Laura Jantz Badeau of Houston, Texas served the Bride as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Margaret Ward Scott of Atlanta, Georgia; Mrs. Michelle Zlakowski Hartwell of Arlington, Virginia; and Miss Gretchen Ann Kramer of Duluth, Georgia. The bridesmaids wore gowns in European Sky Blue and carried bouquets of pastel colored roses, lilies, and hydrangeas.
Miss Amanda Ryan Ainsworth, niece of the groom, served as the flower girl and carried a white satin basket from which to throw her rose petals. The House Party included Miss Victoria Elizabeth Windham of Houston, Texas and Dr. Mindy Lisa Samuelson of Dallas, Texas.
Mr. John Ainsworth of Pearland, Texas served his brother as Best man. The Groomsmen included Mr. Daniel Harris of Houston, Texas; Mr. David Tett, brother of the bride, of Cypress, Texas; and Mr. Derek Scott of Atlanta, Georgia.
Master Alexander Tett, nephew of the bride, served as Ring Bearer. Serving as ushers were Mr. Jeffrey Lawley of Houston, Texas, and Mr. Clint Fagg of Katy, Texas.
The Bride is a graduate of the Kinkaid School in Houston. She graduated cum laude from Duke University with a B. A. in Economics and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Suzanne received her Masters of Science in Human Resources Management from Texas A&M University. She is currently employed as a specialist in the Human Resources Department of Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling, Inc.
The Groom is a graduate of Alief Hastings High School and is currently attending the University of Houston in the Bauer School of Business.
Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
