Miss Aimee Regan Rhodes and Mr. Stephen David Robertson were united in marriage on Saturday, July 24, 2004 at seven o'clock in the evening at First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Joseph Don Robertson, father of the groom. Music for the ceremony was performed by Mr. Tommy L. Lander, organist, Mr. Timothy O'Brien, trumpeter, Mrs. Beverly Garms, pianist, and Mr. Stephen Garms, soloist. Holy scripture was read by Mrs. Robin Ann Rice. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Dallas Petroleum Club with music provided by Ice House. On the day before the wedding, a bridal luncheon was hosted by Ashley Endress Netzer. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Nuevo Leon.
The Bride is the daughter of Mrs. Janet Carlton Rhodes and Mr. Charles Reynolds Rhodes of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Rhodes of Clarksville, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Dudley Carlton, Jr. of Brazoria, Texas.
The Groom is the son of Reverend and Mrs. Joseph Don Robertson of Plainview, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ruth Miller and the late Truman Miller of Plainview and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Robertson of Tucumcari, New Mexico.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride chose a formal gown of white silk satin designed by Amsale for Stanley Korshak. The gown featured a curved strapless neckline and molded empire bodice with dropped waist accented by tuxedo pleats. The full skirt fell from box pleats to a slipper length hem and flowed into a chapel train. To complete the ensemble the bride wore a two-tiered veil of soft white silk illusion dusted with Swarovski crystals. The veil which framed her face and shoulders, flowed from a crystal and platinum tiara and extended beyond the train. The bride carried a nosegay of akito and vandella roses with a sprinkling of stephanotis. Her great-grandmother's handkerchief was tucked inside the arrangement.
Miss Ashley Reynolds Rhodes and Miss Alexis Ross Rhodes served their sister as Maids of Honor. Mrs. Autumn Rhodes Scott, the bride's sister, of College Station, Texas served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Alesha Ruthann Robertson, sister of the groom, of Plainview, Miss Angela Aldridge Robertson, sister-in-law of the groom, of Lubbock, Texas, Mrs. Kay Bridgwater Altic of Houston, Miss Jennifer Leslie George of San Antonio, Texas, Miss Heather Arrington Bowling, Miss Lauren Rebecca Cavender both of Plano, Texas, Miss Amanda Jill Brown of Newport, Arkansas, Miss Kristin Lee Klungvedt of La Jolla, California, Miss Sarah Elizabeth Langbein and Miss Danielle Alexandria Huey, both of Dallas. Serving as flower girls were Miss Kiley Alexandra Scott, niece of the bride, of College Station, Alexandria AnneMarie Bradley and Madison Lynne Elkins, cousins of the groom, both of Georgetown, Texas. The House Party included Miss Patricia Courtney Anderson of Rolling Meadow, Illinois, Mrs. Ashley Endress Netzer of Anna, Texas and Miss Sarah Lynn Zimmer of Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Stanley Andrew Robertson of Lubbock and Mr. Matthew Isaiah Robertson of Rock Springs, Wyoming served their brother as Best Men. The Groomsmen included Mr. Robert Ray Scott, Jr., brother-in-law of the bride, of College Station, Mr. Mitchell Lynne Allen of Grapeview, Texas, Mr. J. Brandon Barnes of Belton, Texas, Mr. David Brent Manchee of Amarillo, Texas, Mr. Trent Terrell Riddle of Lubbock, and Mr. John Mark Thompson of Dallas. Serving as Ring Bearers were Master Jacob Roger Hutchens, cousin of the groom, of Georgetown, Master Trael Andrew Robertson, nephew of the groom, of Lubbock and Master Robert Ray Scott, III, nephew of the bride, of College Station. Ushers included Mr. Allen David Bradley, Mr. Allen Todd Elkins, Mr. Jason Roger Hutchens, all cousins of the groom, of Georgetown, Texas, Mr. Benjamin Todd Carlton, cousin of the bride, of Madisonville, Texas, and Mr. Daine Austin Deaver of Houston, Texas.
After graduating from Houston Christian High School in Houston, the Bride attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with honors in her field and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Presently she is employed at Shelton School in Dallas as a diagnostician.
The Groom is a graduate of Carlsbad High in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He received his Master of Science in Statistics at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and is working on his Doctorate. He is employed by Citigroup in Las Colinas as a Risk Management Analyst.
Following a honeymoon to the Chateau at Lake Louise and Banff, Canada, the couple will reside in Dallas, Texas.
