Dr. Nancy Anne LaGreca and Mr. Jack Douglas Eure, III were united in marriage on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at four-thirty in the afternoon at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Niagara Falls, New York. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Juliette Marsh-Williams of Pasadena, California. The readings were given by the bride's brother, Roy LaGreca of Palos Verdes, California and her sister, Lisa LaGreca of Redondo Beach, California. A dinner reception followed at the Red Coach Inn in Niagara Falls.
Ushers were Dr. Reuben Gobezie of Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Ben O'Connor of Wimberley, Texas and Mr. Ken Toshima of New York City.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy LaGreca of Niagara Falls. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles LaGreca of Niagara Falls, New York and the late Mr. and Mrs. Don Miskov of St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Linwood Kenny Wales of Houston, Texas and Dr. and Mrs. Jack Douglas Eure, Jr. of San Marcos, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Eugene Thomas of Vernon, Texas and Mrs. Elizabeth Eure of San Marcos, Texas and formerly of Vernon, Texas and the late Mr. Jack Douglas Eure, Sr.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown by Jim Hjelm of ivory satin which featured a fitted empire bodice with a straight neckline enhanced by silver embroidery and pearls in a scrollwork design. The bride chose a matching fingertip veil and carried a nosegay style bouquet of red roses.
The couple repeated their wedding vows on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at 6:30 in the evening at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. Juliette Marsh-Williams officiated at the double ring ceremony. Ms. Claire Austin Thomas, cousin of the groom, performed Bacchianas Brasileiras No. 5 by Heitor Villa-Lobos accompanied on the acoustic guitar by Neil Thomas, uncle of the groom. Hill Country Brass provided ceremonial music. Ms. Nancy Crampton of New York City and Ms. Kimberley Hamlin of Austin, Texas performed the readings. The bride was escorted by her brother, Mr. Charles LaGreca of Sacramento, California. A dinner reception followed with food provided by the Salt Lick of Driftwood, Texas and the music by the David Caceres Band of Houston, Texas.
Ushers at Old Glory Ranch were Mr. Ben O'Connor of Wimberley, Texas, Mr. Charlie Robinson, of Henderson, Nevada, Mr. Jeff St. John of Pasco, Washington, Mr. Kerry Moffitt of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Mr. Whitney Potter of San Francisco, California, Mr. Joseph Schollmeyer of Portland, Oregon and Mr. Mark Raggett of Portland, Oregon. Junior usher was Mr. Anderson Hatcher Thomas of Houston, Texas, cousin of the groom.
Nancy is a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School in Sanborn, New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo, New York. She recently completed her Masters degree and doctorate in Hispanic literature from the University of Texas at Austin and will teach at the University of Oklahoma at Norman this fall.
Jack is a graduate of The Webb Schools of California in Claremont, California and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his Masters degree in Architecture at The University of Oregon in Eugene and now manages his company, Built Records.
Following a honeymoon to London, England and Paris, France the couple will reside in Norman, Oklahoma.
