Miss Mary Alexis Kypreos and Mr. Carson Lee Randolph Yost both of Dallas, Texas were united in marriage on July 3, 2004, at a sunset ceremony on The Big Island of Hawaii. The Reverend Laurens Allen Hall from St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas officiated. Music was provided by Bill Noble. A reception followed at the Manna Kea Beach Hotel. A rehearsal dinner luau was hosted by the groom's parents at The Sullivan Estate.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Mercouris Kypreos of Fort Worth, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mary Adele Tomasek and the late Hubert Joe Tomasek the late Mercouris Nicholas and Viola Dimitri Kypreos of Galveston, Texas.
The Groom is the son of Mary Ralph Lowe of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mr. John Yost of Galveston, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Erma and Ralph Lowe, and the late Katy and Randolph Yost.
Given in marriage by her father, the Bride wore a tissue silk organza gown designed especially for her by Badgley Mischka. The strapless bodice of the mermaid silhouette gown was accented by delicate pearl and crystal beading, a design repeated at the hemline and on the train.
Bridesmaids were Katherine Bennett Adams, Mycah Colette Emmerson, Kristina Jurate McGovern, and Missy Womack Williams all of Dallas, Texas, Clayton Yost Maebius of Austin, Texas, Ashli Michele Rosenthal of New York, New York, Connor Adair Sorenson of Washington, DC., and Samantha Adelaide Yost of Fort Worth, Texas. Honor Attendants were Emelie Beth Andrews of Austin, Texas, Laura Kathryn Bailey of Fort Worth, Texas, and Reid Marie Horn of Dallas, Texas. Allison Louise Reaves of Dallas, Texas was the Reader.
Best Man was Leigh Ashley McMakin of West Palm Beach, Florida. Groomsmen were Petros Markus Kypreos and Andrew Kingsland Maebius of Austin, Texas, Gordon Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas, Holbrook Forster Dorn of Houston, Texas, Clayton Matthew Albertson of New York, New York, Nicholas Lorillard Pell of Los Angeles, California, and Douglas Merritt MacMahon of San Francisco, California. Ushers were Charlie Lane Flanders of Fort Worth, Texas, Robert Bruff Morrow and Douglas Patton Morrow both of Houston, Texas, August Ray Herrington of Austin, Texas, and Daniel J. Collin of New York, New York.
The Bride is a graduate of Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, Texas. She received her Bachelor's degree in communication, at Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She also received her graduate gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America in New York, New York.
The Groom is a graduate of St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He will attend Stanford University Graduate School of Business in the fall.
After a honeymoon throughout Italy, the couple will reside in Palo Alto, California.
