FARRIS - CREEDON

Lindsay Doherty Farris
Weds
Timothy Francis Creedon

Lindsay Doherty Farris and Timothy Francis Creedon were united in the holy sacrament of Matrimony on June 19, 2004, at seven o'clock in the evening at Dahlgren Chapel, Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Daniel Cahill, cousin of the groom. Scripture readings were given by Kenneth Cahill, cousin of the groom, David Doherty, Jr., cousin of the bride, and Joel Niedfeldt. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a seated dinner and dancing at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. On the eve of the wedding a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the Creedon family at Sequoia on the Potomac. A bridesmaid's luncheon was hosted by Elizabeth Anne Sauer at The Four Seasons in Georgetown on the day of the wedding. The day after the wedding, a Sunday Brunch was also held at The Four Seasons and was hosted by the bride's aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Ernie Figari of Dallas, and by the bride's grandmother, Martha Farris, of Floydada, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Russell Farris of Houston. She is the granddaughter of the late Katherine and Robert Pace Doherty of Houston, and of Mrs. Thomas Kinder Farris and the late Kinder Farris of Floydada, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Francis Creedon, Sr. of the Bronx, New York. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Creedon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Moynihan of County Kerry, Ireland.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, sister, and brother and was escorted by her Father. Lindsay wore a straight satin sheath gown that extended into cathedral length and was designed by Carolina Herrera of New York. She wore a single tier veil that fell to cathedral length. She carried a small bouquet of gardenias tied together by an old, lace handkerchief of her grandmother, Katherine Doherty, and pinned to the handkerchief was her grandmother's wedding ring.

Miss Elizabeth Leigh Farris, sister of the bride, served as the Maid of Honor. The bridesmaids were: Nora Creedon, Catherine Creedon and Eileen Creedon, all sisters of the groom; Nicole Gewinner, Emelie Miller, Katherine Armstrong Nichols, and Eliza Niles.

Serving as Best Man was Michael Moynihan, cousin of the groom. The Groomsmen were Robert Farris, brother of the bride, Matthieu McAuliffe, Christopher Moynihan, Patrick Moynihan, John Moynihan, Mason Oltman and Brett Williams. The Ushers were James Fogarty, Timothy Moynihan, and Joel Niedfeldt.

Our precious flower girl was Audrey Figari and our handsome ring bearers were T.K. Farris and Gerry McMullin.

The bride is a graduate of the Kinkaid School in Houston and graduated with honors from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Lindsay is currently employed by NBC in New York City as a Manager of Business Development.

The groom graduated from Regis High School in Manhattan, New York and graduated magna cum laude from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He is currently employed by Lehman Brothers in New York City as an Associate in Equity Research.

Following a honeymoon to Beijing, Hong Kong, and Bali, Lindsay and Tim will reside in New York City.
