Miss Kelli Suzanne Janecek and Mr. Bryan Christopher Haas were united in marriage on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at seven o'clock in the evening at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend James H. McPhail. Music for the ceremony was performed by Keith Ross, organist, Dr. Daniel Shipman, trumpeter, Mrs. Ashley Schroeder, soloist, the Fine Art Strings, and the Choraleers. Holy scripture was read by Miss Brittany Doty. A reception followed the ceremony at Lakeside Country Club with music provided by Grady Gaines and the Texas Upsetters.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Grappino di Nino. A bridal luncheon, hosted by Mrs. Helen Plant and Mrs. Cheryll Lambright, was held the morning of the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Raymond Janecek of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Eloe Janecek of Victoria, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Kocian of Victoria, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Lynn Haas of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. Fred Haas and Ms. JoAnn Haas of Houston, Texas; and Mr. Frank Donald Leigh and the late Mrs. Jean Leigh of Houston, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown of soft white organza designed by Reva Mivasagar of New York. The gown featured a "V" neckline and narrow straps with an empire bodice delicately embellished with hand embroidery in a vine and floral motif accented with silver bullion, crystals and iridescent sequins. The gored skirt was decorated in a classic twenties era starburst motif of hand embroidery with scrolls of flowers and vines. To complete the ensemble, the bride wore a two-tiered veil which flowed to the length of the gown. She carried a delicate bouquet of lily of the valley.
Miss Elin VanSant Bertelsen of Houston, Texas served the bride as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Karin Michelle Brown of Dallas, Texas; Miss Miranda Rae Brown of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Sarah Buck Harrod of Tampa, Florida; Mrs. Elizabeth Burrus Isaly of Bellingham, Washington; Mrs. Lindsay Marxen Laudadio of Houston, Texas; Miss Hayley Ellen Prager of Dallas, Texas; and Mrs. Ashley McNutt Schroeder of South Padre Island, Texas.
Miss Natalie Grace Haas, cousin of the groom, served as the Flower Girl. House Party attendants included Mrs. Lindley Whisenant Arthur of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Christine Elisabeth Klayman of New York, New York; Mrs. Mercedes Simon Meserve of Newport Beach, California; Miss Diana Lynn Presley of Dallas, Texas; and Miss Anna Elizabeth Street of Austin, Texas.
Mr. David Allen Haas of Houston, Texas served his brother as Best Man. The groomsmen included Mr. Matthew Michael Altenau of Dallas, Texas; Mr. Brian Lee Dinerstein of Houston, Texas; Mr. Thomas Eugene Jackson II of Houston, Texas; Mr. Christopher David Janecek of Austin, Texas; Mr. Scott Michael Meserve of Newport Beach, California; Mr. Roland Boyd Skelton of Houston, Texas; and Dr. Bradd Curtis Testerman of Lebanon, Ohio.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She is a first grade teacher at Marquez Charter Elementary School in Pacific Palisades, California.
The groom is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He is employed by Creative Artists Agency in Beverly Hills, California.
Following a honeymoon to Italy, Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Haas will reside in Santa Monica, California.
