Ansley Marie Starling and Andre Savio Pereira were united in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Father Tony D'Cruz, uncle of the groom. Soloist, Barbara Howard performed at the ceremony. Scripture readers were Krista Starling and Aurelius Pereira. Dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at BraeBurn Country Club with music provided by Mary's Band. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Maggiano's.
Ansley is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Starling of Houston, Texas. Andre is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roque Pereira of Houston, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted by her father. Anna Starling served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Angie Pereira, Krista Starling, and Desi Medrano. Alistair Pereira served as the groom's best man and Carlos Cuevas, Aurelius Pereira, and Marcos Jesus-Lopez were groomsmen.
The bride and groom are graduates of the University of Saint Thomas. The bride received her BA in elementary and special education. She will be working for Fort Bend ISD in the fall. The groom received his BBA with concentration in MIS and is employed by Williams.
Following a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Houston.
