Miss Kelly Michelle Clark and Mr. Robert Mason Dunn, Jr. were united in marriage on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at seven o'clock in the evening at the Benitez Chapel in Bellaire, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor David A. Roschke of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas and co-officiated by Father John Payne, S.J. of Austin, Texas. The ceremony music was performed by Miss Leslie Carolyn Reese, soloist, Dr. Margaret Flowers, organist, Mr. Warren Maas, trumpeter, Ms. Teresa Grawunder, flutist, and Ms. Nicole Niederer, pianist. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Omni Houston Hotel with music provided by Doppelganger. On the day before the wedding, a Bridal Luncheon was hosted by Mrs. June Cowan, friend of the bride, Mrs. Bernice Collins, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Diane Bistodeau, cousin of the bride, at The Junior League of Houston. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a Rehearsal Dinner at The River Oaks Garden Club, with catering provided by Lupe Tortilla's and guitar music provided by Edward Grigassy.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edward Clark of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Wilma Mikeska of Houston, the late Mr. Irwin Emil Mikeska and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernard Clark. Kelly is also the sister of the late Miss Tracy Renee Clark.
The groom is the son of Ms. Linda Owen Dunn of Houston, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mason Dunn of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Nancy A. Dunn of Houston, the late Mr. Joseph Francis Dunn and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Charles Owen.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant strapless couture ball gown fashioned of white silk satin by Reem Acra. The gown featured a fitted bodice and sculpted back. White and silver beading and embroidery adorned the bodice and highlighted a full cathedral length train. To complement her gown, the bride chose a headpiece of cultured pearls and Austrian crystals from which a cathedral length veil of diamond white illusion cascaded. The bride carried a bouquet of white cymbidium orchids.
Bridesmaids included Miss Laura Ashley Mikeska of Frisco, Texas; Miss Lisa Ann Cassiani, Miss Julianne Catherine Rouquette, and Mrs. Amy Boulware Walker, all of Dallas, Texas; Miss Meredith Gail Evans of Fort Worth, Texas; Miss Kimberly Novaes Gregg, Miss Leslie Carolyn Reese, Miss Julie Ann Trapp, and Mrs. Charity Winston Todd, all of Houston. The bridesmaids wore tea length strapless gowns in Bordeaux charmeuse designed by Lazaro. The skirts of their dresses were fashioned of tiers of charmeuse. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of green cymbidium orchids complemented with anemones. Serving as flower girl was Miss Abigayle Ann Dunn, of Katy, Texas. The House Party included Mrs. Kimberly Nichole McKenzie of Round Rock, Texas; Miss Kristen Leigh Molbeck, Miss Dominique Hope Newton, both of Houston, Texas; and Mrs. Kara Dawn Vitek of Golden, Colorado.
Mr. Chad Eric McKenzie of Round Rock, Texas served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Andrew Eugene Costa, Mr. Robert Wayne Cowan, Dr. Anthony GarciaPrats, Mr. Justin Thomas Holy, and Mr. Michael Salem, all of Houston, Texas; Mr. Gary Joe Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas; and Dr. Steven Eugene Walker of Memphis, Tennessee. Serving as ushers were Mr. Bryan David Mikeska and Mr. Andrew Thomas Mikeska, both of Frisco, Texas. Serving as Ring bearers were Mr. Jared Nathan McKenzie of Round Rock, Texas; and Mr. James Collins Bistodeau of Houston, Texas.
After graduating from Episcopal High School, the bride attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas where she received her Bachelor's of Social Work and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. After completing her undergraduate degree, Kelly attended the University of Houston where she received her Master's in Social Work. Kelly is currently a social worker for DePelchin Children's Center in Houston, Texas.
After graduating from Strake Jesuit, the groom attended The University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor's of Business Administration. After completing his undergraduate degree, Rob attended the University of Houston Law Center where he received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence. He is currently employed as a labor and employment attorney at Feldman & Rogers, L.L.P.
Following a honeymoon on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
