Ms. Kimberly Jean Carter and Mr. Christof Torsten Spieler were married on June 12, 2004, at Trinity Episcopal Church, the Reverend William Miller officiating.
The wedding party and guests rode Houston's light rail to the reception luncheon at the Sam Houston Hotel and to the rehearsal dinner at the Petroleum Club.
The Bride is the daughter of Jeanette and Daniel Carter.
The Groom is the son of Sigrid and Helmuth Spieler.
The attendants were Katherine Carter, the bride's sister, Thomas Millikan, Carl Myers, and Jean Liang.
Kimberly graduated from Memorial High School.
She received an A.B. degree from Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA, and in 2004, a J.D. degree with honors from The University of Texas, where she served as an Articles Editor of The Texas Law Review.
Kimberly will clerk for a Federal Appellate Judge.
Christof graduated from Pinole Valley High School, Pinole, CA.
Christof, a Professional Engineer, received both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from Rice University; he was a columnist and features editor, Rice Thresher.
He is a Senior Associate, Matrix Structural Engineers, and a member of Cite Magazine editorial board.
