Miss Sandra Joyce Bernstein and Mr. Paul Edward Dyeak were married on July 3, 2004 at The Four Seasons Hotel, Houston, Texas. At six thirty in the evening, the bride walked down the aisle to "Once Upon a Dream", played by Accent Chamber Music. Joining the couple under the huppah was Rabbi Michael LeBurkien and the parents of both the Bride and Groom. Following the ceremony, guests had cocktails and dinner in the ballroom at The Four Seasons Hotel.
The evening before the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by The Dyeak Family at The Longhorn Café. Out of town guests were honored with a song by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Sylvia Bernstein, and a bridesmaid, cabaret singer, Ms. Kelly Walton. On the day following the wedding, the bride's parents hosted a brunch in the morning and a 4th of July bar-be-que at their home in the evening.
The Bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin and Cheryl Bernstein of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sylvia Bernstein, and the late Mr. Max Bernstein and Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Ruth Shemonsky. The bride is also the grand-niece of Mrs. Freda Bernstein and the late Mr. Irvin Bernstein.
The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell and Sharon Dyeak and the brother of Ms. Catherine Dyeak of Lawrence, Massachusetts. He is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Runge and the late Mr. Robert Runge and Mrs. Helen Dyeak.
Serving the Bride as Maid of Honor was long-time friend Ms. Sabrina Burris. The Bridesmaids included Ms. Theresa Benson, Ms. Catherine Dyeak, Mrs. Stacey Shon and Ms. Kelly Walton. Miss Zara Walton, 2 1/2 years old, laid rose petals on the aisle as the flower girl.
Serving the Groom as Best Man was childhood friend, Mr. David Thomas. He was followed by Groomsmen Mr. Spiro Karantzalis and Mr. Ryan Runge. Mr. Sean Runge, 4 years old, escorted Miss Walton as the ring bearer.
Sandra graduated from The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston as a dance major and received a Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts Administration at New York University. She currently works as the Development Associate for Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston.
Paul is a graduate of Salem High School in Salem, New Hampshire and has Bachelors degrees in Film & Television and Religious Studies from New York University. Paul, a flourishing screenwriter, currently works as an Assistant Stage Manager on the Houston based television show Texas Justice.
Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will continue residence at their home in Houston.
