Miss Tracy Ann Pharis and Mr. Ryan Blaine Perry were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, June 12, 2004, at half past two in the afternoon at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Deacon Al Prescott performed the double ring ceremony and sacrament of marriage. Soloists Diana Light, Carolyn Richmond and Debrah Perry and the Fine Arts String Quartet, trumpeter Don Johnson, and organist Susan Feller provided music for the ceremony. A reception followed the ceremony at Wyndhaven Terrace. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Texas Land and Cattle in Houston.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Fred A Pharis III and the late Mrs. Linda Ann Plentl Pharis of Spring, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Fred A Pharis of Spring, Texas and Mrs. Lillian H. Plentl and the late Mr. Perry F. Plentl of Angleton, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Perry of Richmond, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Marilyn Crews and the late Mr. Johnny Beaubouef and Mrs. Marjorie Perry and the late Mr. Eugene W. Perry.
Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her father, Tracy wore a gown of white duchess satin. The strapless gown featured a pearl and lace embroidered bodice and empire waist. The full skirt fell to a slipper length scalloped hem and cathedral train accented with pearls and lace. To compliment the gown, the bride wore a tiara of tiny pearls and crystals with a veil of French illusion cascading in tiers to a cathedral length. The bride carried a bouquet of champagne roses. The bridesmaids wore maroon, satin gowns.
Miss Judith Okabayashi of Spring, Texas served as Maid of Honor. The bridesmaids were the groom's sister, Miss Brittany Perry, the bride's cousin, Mrs. Lisa Boyle, Miss Valerie Monk, Mrs. Miranda Rahimzadeh, Miss Christina Wells and Miss Shannon Reed.
Mr. Craig Dagenais of Lake Jackson, Texas served as Best Man. The groomsmen were the groom's cousin, Mr. Jasen Hensley, Mr. Philip McNeil, Mr. Jan-Michael Jenkins, Mr. Patrick Shields, Mr. Jonathan Bauer, and Mr. Aaron Jaap.
The bride is a graduate of Spring High School in Spring, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary studies. Tracy plans to teach middle school in the fall.
The groom is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration - Marketing. Ryan is in management with Enterprise Leasing Corporation.
Following a honeymoon to Rome, Italy, Mr. and Mrs. Perry will reside in Houston, Texas.
