Miss Lacy Ann Johnson and Mr. Jacob Thomas Randle were united in marriage on Saturday, June 12, 2004 at five o'clock in the afternoon at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Stuart Bates with music provided by organist, Mr. George Ellis Mims and trumpeters, Mr. Daniel Shipman and Mr. Troy Rowley. Miss Alice Bintliff Colvin, cousin of the bride and Ms.Tracy Susan Brandon, sister of the groom, delivered the scripture readings. A reception followed the ceremony at The Junior League of Houston with music by the Kelly Dean Group. Miss Elizabeth Beeson Holstien, Maid of Honor, and her mother, Mrs. Jodie Beeson Holstien, hosted a bridesmaid luncheon for the bride, her attendants and family the day before the wedding. On the eve of the wedding the groom and his parents hosted a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and family at Canyon Café.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Bintliff Johnson of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh White Johnson, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Lacy Adams of Bellville, Texas.
The groom is the son of Ms. Honey Susan Meyer of Spring, Texas and Mr. Don Randle of Irving, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, ivory gown with two tone embroidery and crystal beading. Her shoes were stitched with lace from her mother's wedding dress.
Miss Elizabeth Beeson Holstien of Houston, childhood friend of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Miss Kristen Anne Catalani of San Antonio, Texas, college friend, Miss Ayla Coopwood Landry of Austin, Texas, Miss Mary Roberts Wooldridge and Miss Katelyn Johnson Wooldridge of Houston, all cousins of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Miss Elizabeth Ann Adkins of Houston and Miss Elyse Vivienne Landry of Austin, also cousins of the bride, served as junior bridesmaids. The house party included Miss Alice Bintliff Colvin of Houston and Miss Ashley Rose Vaughn of Fort Worth, Texas, both cousins of the bride and Ms. Tracy Susan Brandon of Houston, sister of the groom.
Mr. Charles Shaffer Hulett of Arlington, Texas served as the Best Man of the groom. LTJG David Bintliff Johnson, Jr., USNR of Norfolk, Virginia and Mr. Carter Adams Johnson of Houston, brothers of the bride, Mr. Darrell Ray Ripkowski of Houston and Mr. Michael Edward Schraeder of Houston, friends of the bride and groom, served as groomsmen. Mr. John August Adkins, Jr. of Houston and Mr. Raleigh Bintliff Wooldridge of Houston, both cousins of the bride, served as ring bearers.
Mr. Richard Burleson Colvin, Jr. of Houston, Mr. Kyle Johnson Landry and Mr. Eastman Phenix Landry of Austin, Mr. John Thomas Wooldridge, Jr. of Houston and Mr. Trenton Gene Wright of Flower Mound, Texas, all cousins of the bride, served as ushers.
The bride is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication. The groom is completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University. The groom is employed by Verizon Wireless. Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, Mr. and Mrs. Randle will reside in College Station, Texas.
