Miss Lisa Renee Dull and Mr. Aldo Pezzia were united in marriage on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at half past six in the evening at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Vicky Jones. Organist, Kathryn Sparks provided the music for the ceremony. A reception and dinner followed at the Intercontinental Hotel with music provided by Klockwork. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents, Dr. & Mrs. Willy Pezzia, hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Grotto Ristorante in Houston.
Lisa is the daughter of Dr. & Mrs. Dwayne Scott Dull of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Luther Clayton Lau, Jr. and Helen Weisenfelder Lau, formally of Beaumont, Texas and Lucille Lau of St. Petersberg, Florida and the late Mr. Donald Wesley Dull, of Beaumont, Texas and Wanda Renee Dull who lives in Houston, Texas.
Aldo is the son of Dr. & Mrs. Willy Pezzia of Houston, Texas and his mother, the late Dr. Nancy Pezzia. He is the grandson of Isabel Villar De Gallardo and the late Francisco Gallardo, and the late Romildo Pezzia and Irma Kienle of Peru.
Given in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant ivory silk satin strapless gown by Christos and a cathedral length veil complemented by a crystal and pearl tiara. The bride carried a bouquet of stephanotis, variegated Pink Anna, cream Vendella, champagne roses, and peonies.
Miss Dana Michelle Dull, sister of the bride, served as the Maid of Honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Becah Lavender Butler,Mrs. Angela Faught Dina, Mrs. Christa Ann Howard, Mrs. Jeannette Sirois Muecke, and Mrs. Julie Wills Preston, all of Houston. Miss Rachel Lau, cousin of the bride, was a Junior Bridesmaid and her sister Hannah Lau, also cousin of the bride was the flower girl. Both are from Alexandria, Virginia.
Members of the house party were Sharon Jennifer Perugini of Austin, Texas, Lindsay Ann Radenz, and Allison Lynn Radenz, all of Houston, Texas.
Serving the groom as Best Man was Mr. Michael Barry of Houston, Texas. Groomsmen were Mr. Patrick Barry of Houston, Texas; Mr. Lief Peterson of Rowlett, Texas; Dr. Ben Phillips of Richmond, Virginia; Mr. Leonard Sarsfield of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and Mr. Christopher Walsh of Orlando, Florida. Ushers were Blake Phillips, stepbrother of the groom of Austin, Texas and Greg Gibson brother-in-law of the groom, of Houston, Texas.
Lisa graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Houston, Texas. She attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She graduated from The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and a minor in Architecture. She is employed by Bennett Design Group and an Allied Member of ASID.
Aldo graduated from Strake Jesuit Prepatory School in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Math; he earned his MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He is a consultant with Oracle Incorporation.
After a honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
