Miss Caroline Elizabeth Baker and Mr. Christopher Alan Jamison were united in marriage on Saturday, May 15, 2004, at seven o'clock in the evening at University Park United Methodist church in Dallas, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Stephen Robertson. Music for the ceremony was performed by organist Reverend Kathryn Johnson, soloist Tiffany Roberts, and trumpeter Don Burks. The scriptures were read by Doctor Melissa Elizabeth Barnes of Orlando, Florida and Mrs. Christine Marie Noonan of St. Louis, Missouri. A reception followed the ceremony at the Hilton Lincoln Centre with music by Tropix Band of Fort Worth, Texas. Mrs. Eileen Buis, friend of the bride and mother-in-law of the matron of honor, hosted a bridesmaids' brunch at her home on the day of the wedding. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted at Ciudad.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hines Baker, junior of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lamar Jones and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hines Baker, senior, all of Houston, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allen Calhoun of Beaumont, Texas and Mr. Edward Jamison of Galveston, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Peter Smith of Beaumont, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward William Jamison of Galveston, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of duchess silk designed by Amsale. The strapless gown featured a full box pleat skirt with a draped bustle back and an extended back train. The bodice was embellished with silver metallic embroidery along a dropped waist. The bride's ensemble was completed with the addition of the veil worn by lifetime family friend, Mrs. Elise Wolf Cooper, on her wedding day, and a handmade tiara of pearls and Austrian crystals worn by her matron of honor on her wedding day. She carried a cluster bouquet of white to pale pink stephanotis, tulips and roses with phylo orchids in the center.
Mrs. Lara Robin Buis of Frisco, Texas, served as the Matron of Honor and carried a bouquet of tulips in shades of pink. Bridesmaids included Miss Catherine Allison Baker, sister of the bride, of Santa Monica, California; Miss Julie Anne Baker, sister of the bride, of Houston, Texas; Miss Jill Anne Elliott of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Jenna Cropper Benner, Miss Kristin Kiester Borowski and Mrs. Heather Hutchens Fish, all of Fort Worth, Texas. The attendants wore chocolate brown strapless gowns designed by Vera Wang and carried clusters of nerines, tulips, spray roses and mini calla lilies in shades of pink. Miss Alice Elizabeth Luke of Sunnyvale, California, niece of the groom, served as the flower girl. Members of the House Party included Mrs. Alison Peterson Ross and Miss Kristin Michelle Zera, both of Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Havens of League City, Texas and Mr. Edward Allen Leo of Dallas, Texas served as co-best men. Groomsmen included Mr. Adrian Bradley Hill of Bartlett, Tennessee; Mr. Edward Joseph Jamison III of Garland, Texas; Mr. Thomas Scott Kendall of Dallas, Texas; Mr. Michael Todd Langston of Beaumont, Texas; and Mr. Lawrence David Luke, brother of the groom, of Sunnyvale, California.
The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School of Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with an emphasis in Accounting from Texas Christian University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She is currently an Assistant Vice President at Marquette Commercial Finance, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas.
The groom is a graduate of Westbrook High School of Beaumont, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Lamar University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He is currently a Vice President at Bank of Texas in Dallas, Texas.
Following a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Dallas, Texas.
