Miss Jill Cathleen Listi and Mr. James Devin Wisener were united in marriage on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at seven-thirty in the evening at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Niall Nolan, with music provided by organist Catherine Sahinen, and vocalist Kathleen LaClair, and trumpeter Don Johnson. Miss Stephanie Munos, a long-time friend of the bride, and Mr. Britton Sherry, the groom's cousin, delivered the scripture readings. A reception, with dinner and dancing, followed the ceremony at The WestLake Club.
Prior to the wedding, Nicole Becker, the bride's sister, hosted the bridal breakfast at her home. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at King Fish Market Restaurant.
The bride is the daughter of Sam and Betty Listi of Jersey Village. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Adam Borski and the late Clara Borski, Mrs. Lucille Listi and the late Joseph Listi.
The groom is the son of Jim and Nancy Wisener of Jersey Village. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Redd of Pasadena and the late Marvin McLemore of Alvin, Foye Wisener and the late Mack Wisener of Nacogdoches, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by them, the bride selected a gown designed by Audrey Hart. The ivory Italian Matte satin was enhanced with silver embroidery and Austrian crystal beadwork. The strapless bodice of the two-piece gown featured a sweetheart neckline and a lace-up corset back. The entire bodice was embellished with the beaded embroidery, and ended in a dropped waistline. The full A-line skirt had a split-front design, with an inset panel of beaded embroidery. The dress flowed into a chapel length train. The ensemble was completed with a magnificent silver and crystal tiara.
The Matron of Honor was Mrs. Nicole Becker of Houston. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Kristina Riepe, Miss Julie Cotton, Miss Kim Gradwohl, Miss Sandra Baehr, Mrs. Christina Hunt, and Miss Brenda Cunningham, all of Houston. The flower girl was Little Miss Ashleigh Becker of Houston. Nathaniel Lucena of Prescott, Arkansas was the cross bearer. Members of the House Party were Mrs. Paige Walker of Houston and Courtlyn Earle of Livingston, Louisiana.
Serving the groom as Best Man was Mr. Neil Wisener, brother of the groom, of Houston. Groomsmen included Mr. Warren Barhorst and Doug Becker, both of Houston, Mr. Trevor Sterling of Chicago, Illinois, Adam Listi, brother of the bride, of College Station, and Britton Sherry, cousin of the groom, of Carrollton, Texas, and Jason Sherry, cousin of the groom, of Huntsville. The ushers were Chris Blume and Ray Highsmith, both of Houston.
Jill is a 1995 graduate of Jersey Village High School. She graduated from The University of Houston in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. She is employed by Royal Bank of Canada.
Devin graduated in 1989 from Jersey Village High School and attended the University of Houston. He is the sales manager and an associate agent for the Barhorst Agency.
Following a honeymoon to Puerta Aventuras, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
