Miss Lindsay Brooke Wadler and Mr. Jonathan Michael Hyman were united in marriage on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at seven thirty in the evening at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Rabbi Brenner Glickman and Cantor Robert Gerber. The Dave Zeger Orchestra provided music for the ceremony. A reception followed at the Houstonian Hotel with dance music provided by E.L.S. of New Orleans, Louisiana. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Brennan's Restaurant with music provided by Leo Polk's Jazz Band. The bride and her bridal party were honored at a bridal luncheon on Friday at the Trellis spa, which was hosted by Dr. Melissa Bloome and Miss Elizabeth Wadler, sisters of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Wadler of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Keen of Waco, Texas and Mrs. Irving Wadler and the late Mr. Irving Wadler of Houston, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hyman of Baltimore, Maryland. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Milton Goldsmith of Short Hills, New Jersey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Hyman of Baltimore, Maryland.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant strapless gown fashioned of ivory silk organza from the Vera Wang Luxe Collection. The silhouette of the gown was fitted to the hip with reembroidered Alencon lace insets appliquéd along the sides to the floor. The sculpted neckline was cut low at the back with couture button detail. The bride carried a large round collection of white peonies, which was delicately hand tied with a double-faced French satin ribbon.
Dr. Melissa Bloome, sister of the bride, of Houston, Texas, served as Matron of Honor. Miss Elizabeth Wadler, sister to the bride, of New York, New York, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss London Leigh Ahders of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Courtney Roseman Brynes, Miss Allison Brooke Dawson, Mrs. Leisa Ladin Dillon, all of Houston, Texas; Miss Amy Lynn Hyman, sister of the groom, of Bethesda, Maryland; Mrs. Jennifer Chapman Wizel of New York, New York; and Miss Kathryn Harriet Wolf of San Francisco, California.
The Houseparty included Miss Ashley Elyse Brochstein of San Francisco, California; Mrs. Melissa Bronstein Castelluccio of Denver, Colorado and Mrs. Amy Senior Isgur of Houston, Texas. The Junior Bridesmaids were Miss Allison Elyse Drell and Miss Laura Anne Drell both of Houston, Texas. Miss Hallie Elizabeth Perlman of Houston, Texas, served as the flower girl.
Mr. David Stephen Hyman, brother of the groom, of Baltimore, Maryland, served as the Best Man. Groomsmen were Dr. David Mitchell Bloome of Houston, Texas; Mr. Noel Scott Cohen of Los Angeles, California; Dr. Etai Funk of Houston, Texas; Mr. Joshua Michael Greenwald of Baltimore, Maryland; Mr. Jarred Brett Kessler of New York, New York; Mr. Ronald Craig Levine of New York, New York; Mr. Jarett Alan Wadler, brother of the bride, of Houston, Texas; and Mr. Joseph Alan White of Atlanta, Georgia.
The ushers included Mr. Jeffrey Matthew Baum of Arlington, Virginia; Mr. Benjamin Michael Menfi of Austin, Texas; Mr. Scott Holden Shapiro of New York, New York and Mr. Rory Daniel Nerenberg of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Drew Evan Perlman of Houston, Texas, served as the ring bearer.
Lindsay graduated from The Kinkaid School, Houston, Texas. She is a graduate of Tulane University and received a Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business. Lindsay is currently a consultant with Accenture.
Jonathan graduated from The Park School, Baltimore, Maryland. He is a graduate of Tulane University and received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Tulane School of Law. Jonathan is currently an associate with the law firm Looper, Reed & McGraw.
Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
