Miss Pebble Lee Gaylor and Mr. Kevin Bernard Anderson were united in marriage on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at five o'clock in the evening at Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Dr. Joe Samuel Ratliff. Ceremony music was provided by organist Corey Gibson, lead vocalists Ray Phillips, Kathie Wilson and Kenny Medlock, and trumpeter Daryl Bayer. Scriptures were read by Mr. Reginald Fisher. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Doubletree Hotel, Post Oak, where guests enjoyed the music of The Gary Michael Dahl Band. A Sunday brunch was also hosted by the bride's parents, in honor of the bride and groom and for out of town guests, at their Sugar Land residence. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Canyon Cafe.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lee Gaylor of Sugar Land, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Murphy Dardar of Lafayette, Louisiana and Mr. Walter Gaylor and the late Mrs. Nellie Gaylor of Natchez, Mississippi.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Anderson of Sugar Land, Texas. He is the grandson of Ms. Velma Lee Anderson and the late Mr. James Anderson of Wharton, Texas and Ms. Minnie Ola Downey of Sealy, Texas.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride selected a couture ball gown of white organza. The bodice of the gown was accented with crystals, pearls, and complemented with a satin ribbon around the waist. To also complement her gown, the bride wore a multi-tier custom designed veil with scattered pearls, and the headpiece was designed with Austrian crystals and pearls. The bridal bouquet was a hand-tied nosegay of cherry love roses, magenta calla lilies, and burgundy tinted heather. The bride's neck piece was a gold and diamond necklace presented to her by her parents.
Serving the bride as the Maid of Honor was her childhood friend Miss Shaundra Wilson of Sugar Land, Texas. The bridesmaids were Miss Alexis Alexander of Houston, Texas; Miss Traci Dickerson of Sugar Land, Texas; Miss Gayla Garnes of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Ivonne Gibbs of Austin, Texas; and Miss Jesselyn Purvey of Sugar Land, Texas. Miss Morgan Young of Houston, Texas served as the Junior Bride. Miss Kellyn Tippins of Houston, Texas served as the flower girl. The bridesmaids wore black crepe and organza floor length dresses. The tea straps and neckline of the dresses were accented with Austrian crystals.
Serving the groom as Best Man was Mr. Crawford Mickey McGill of Houston, Texas. The groomsmen were Mr. Gregory Gaylor, brother of the bride of New York, New York; Mr. Eldrick Gibbs of Austin, Texas; Dr. Brian Reed of Pearland, Texas; Mr. Brian Simon of Houston, Texas; and Mr. Okpara Young of Houston, Texas. Master Ellison Young served as the bell ringer. Master Kelwyn Tippins of Houston, Texas served as the ring bearer.
Pebble is a 1996 graduate of Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas - Austin in 2000 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Marketing. Pebble is employed as an Account Executive for Nova Information Systems in Houston, Texas.
Kevin is a 1993 graduate of Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas. He graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor's of Science in the School of Engineering. In August 2003, he earned a Master's of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University. Kevin holds the position of Business Analyst at Sysco Corporation in Houston, Texas.
Following the wedding Pebble and Kevin will honeymoon in Jamaica and reside in Houston, Texas.
