Miss Kristina Elaine Rossi and Mr. Kevin MacLeod Smith were united in marriage on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Spring, Texas. Reverend John Upton officiated the double ring ceremony. A reading was given by long-time family friend, Mrs. Nick Alfano and college friend Mrs. Jesse Schwarz.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Strack's Farm Restaurant. Prior to the wedding, a bridal luncheon was hosted at Champions Golf Club by Mrs. Nick Alfano. A brunch reception was held for out-of-town guests staying at the Warwick the morning following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rossi. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guiseppe (Joe) Rossi of Houston and Mrs. Jessie Hernandez and the late Mr. Jacob Hernandez of Houston.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin MacLeod Smith, Jr. and grandson of Mr. Marvin MacLeod Smith, Sr. of Cypress, Texas and the late Ann Smith and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Graham of High Point, North Carolina. The groom wore a vest with the MacLeod plaid.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride chose a gown designed by Audrey Hart of soft ivory Italian matte satin and completed her formal bridal ensemble by carrying her First Communion Rosary and a handmade Irish linen handkerchief, a gift from her mother.
Mrs. Jennifer Ann Rossi served her sister-in-law as Maid of Honor. Ms. Mindy MacLeod Smith, sister of the groom, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Michelle Rossi and Ms. Marisa Lopez, cousins of the bride and special friend Ms. Colleen Ignacio. Kristina's cousin, Miss Alexandria Romero served as flower girl.
Book attendant was Mrs. Edward J. Rossi of Centreville, Virginia. Chris Shamy, Kevin's best friend since childhood, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. David Hartsock, Mr. Jack Shry, Mr. Michael Belt and Mr. Robert Simpson all of Houston, Texas. Kristina's cousin, Master Mario Jacobo Camacho, served as ring bearer.
Serving as ushers were Mr. Edward J. Rossi of Centreville, Virginia and Mr. Joseph Robert Rossi of Missouri City, Texas, brothers of the bride.
Houseguests of the bride's family were Dr. and Mrs. J. Freedman of Arlington, Virginia and Mr. Michael V. Christie of Long Beach, California.
Houseguests of the groom's family were Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Graham of Wilson, North Carolina.
Kristina is a graduate of Klein High School. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree from the University of Houston. Kristina is currently employed with Merrill Lynch as a registered client associate.
Kevin is a graduate of Klein High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree from the University of Houston. Kevin is employed with Randall's Food Markets as assistant grocery manager.
After a short honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin MacLeod Smith will reside in Spring, Texas.
