A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, followed the ceremony at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center with music provided by Commercial Art.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Wunsche Bros.' Café and Saloon in Old Town Spring, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephen McPhetridge of The Woodlands, Texas.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. McPhetridge of The Woodlands, Texas, Ms. Doris Furlow McKinney of The Woodlands, Texas, and the late Mr. Broadus McKinney.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reid H. Thorburn of McQueeny, Texas, the grandson of Mrs. Lloyd J. Halpenny of Fort Worth, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Blair of Mexico City, Mexico, Ms. Margaret Thorburn of Palo Alto, California, the late Mr. Lloyd J. Halpenny of Fort Worth, Texas, and the late Donaldson Thorburn of Palo Alto, California.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a silk duchess satin gown with hand draped bodice and souflé skirt designed by Felicity Granelli of Felicity Couture of Corona Del Mar, California.
Mrs. Melissa Russell of Austin, Texas served as matron of honor and Miss Karin Graves of Newport Beach, California served as maid of honor.

Following a honeymoon to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Newport Beach, California.
